Emraan Hashmi was born on March 24, 1979, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to a Muslim family. His dad, Syed Anwar Hashmi, was a businessman and actor, while his mom, Maherrah Hashmi, took care of the home. She later married Bhagwan Das Varma, a producer-director, making him Emraan’s step-grandfather.
