Harbhajan Singh Plaha was born on July 3, 1980, in Jalandhar, Punjab, to Sardar Sardev Singh Plaha and Avtar Kaur. His mom, Avtar Kaur, took care of the home, and his dad, a businessman running a factory making ball bearings, wanted him to join the family business. However, Harbhajan had five sisters, and despite the business plans, his father encouraged him to concentrate on playing cricket.
